Systel Employees Take It to the Yoga Mat in New Health Initiative

Health and fitness is important to Systel Business Equipment and our culture. In fact, Systel encourages our employees to live active and healthy lifestyles both in and out of the office. Recently, Systel began a new initiative in partnership with Floating Shanti, a holistic wellness center located in downtown Fayetteville, to bring free yoga classes to our employees immediately after work.

"I love how convenient it is to go straight from my office to an hour-long yoga class right in the same location," said Heather Wood, Marketing Coordinator with Systel. "It was such an awesome experience because I've never had the opportunity to try yoga before now. I have a shoulder issue, but I slept so well last night and woke up feeling better than I ever felt this morning. On top of that, I really enjoyed getting to participate in an after-hours activity with my colleagues and get to know one another better. It was really pretty special."

Added Carol Parsons, Corporate Administrative Support, "I can't tell you how much I appreciate this company! Systel is a company that truly cares about their employees’ health and welfare. And, I am so happy to have had the chance to participate in yoga. It was absolutely exhilarating! The breathing and stretching techniques were a wonderful way to get the blood flowing while being able to relax the mind after a long day."

Along with yoga classes, Systel promotes healthy living through other means as well, such as holding the "Biggest Loser" contest several times throughout the year along with offering meals in the "Systel Pantry" from Clean Eatz and Bowls on a Roll 2Go.
