Systel strives to act conscientiously in all of its dealings and operations. That’s why we constantly seek ways to have a positive impact on our community. That’s also why we’ve instituted a series of initiatives to lessen our product’s environmental impact as much as possible. 

In addition, through our strong partnerships with Ricoh, HP, Konica Minolta, Lexmark and Panasonic, Systel can offer eco-friendly copiers, printers and solutions to our clients.

Our Cartridge Recycling Program

Systel's print cartridge program helps reduce waste and carbon emissions by recycling used cartridges from all our authorized manufacturer partners.  

ONE STOP RECYCLING:  Many manufacturer direct programs will only collect personally branded items; however, our program provides customers ease of disposing cartridges, image units and fuser units into one box for proper disposal.  By participating in our recycling program, you are joining efforts to keep these cartridges out of our landfills, which can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. Unlike some recyling programs, Systel offers cost free recycling programs that do not require you to pay for recycling costs or shipping - no matter the volume.

To return empty cartridges, place them in the original boxes and place in the Systel recycle box. For multiple box returns, call your local Systel branch to coordinate a pick-up.  To get started or order additional recycling boxes, call 1.800.849.1500 or email support@systeloa.com.

• Duplex Printing - When it comes to forest resource conservation, paper use reduction in offices is important; and double-sided printing is an effective means of achieving such reduction.  Our printers realize high-speed printing when outputting double-sided color pages, thanks to a paper feed control system that feeds three sheets alternately.
• Pull Printing - a printing feature where a user's print job is held on a server or on a user's workstation and released by the user at any printing device which supports this feature.  

Energy Efficiency

ENERGY STAR Certified - Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, is a voluntary labeling program designed to protect the environment through the identification and promotion of energy-efficient products and practices. The ENERGY STAR label may be found on qualifying office equipment, major appliances, lighting, home electronics, homes, commercial, industrial buildings, etc.

Ricoh Family Group Eco Excellence Program

Systel is honored to be a part of the Ricoh Family Group's (RFG) Eco Excellence Program. The program, which is in its second year, recognizes dealers who continually have sustainability practices in place in an effort to protect the environment. 

In order to be accepted into the program, Systel had to submit an application detailing our sustainability work as a company and Ricoh dealer, including our track record of environmental commitment and ability to provide customers with education, awareness, program support and guidance.
