We have a commitment to always looking for new ways to reduce waste, reuse materials, and rethink how our business can leave a lighter footprint on the planet. Whether it’s how we ship, how we recycle, or how we support our customers in doing the same, we believe that real impact starts with everyday action. Here’s what we’re doing behind the scenes to ensure that sustainability remains at the forefront of our day-to-day operations:
Zero Corrugate/Cardboard Waste
We’re proud to say we’re working toward zero corrugate and cardboard waste and making real progress. Any cardboard that can’t be reused gets stored on-site and picked up by our recycling partner, Sonoco Recycling, for proper processing. Between June 2023 and July 2025, we recycled over 92,000 lbs. of corrugated material. It’s just one of the ways we’re keeping waste out of landfills and making our operations more sustainable.
Void Fill Collection & Reuse
We make it a point to collect and reuse void fill, which are those packing materials that usually get tossed after a shipment. Instead of throwing them away, we recover them from inbound deliveries and reuse them in our outbound shipments. Even our branch offices pitch in by sending their extra materials to our Distribution Center, so nothing goes to waste.
Green Shipping Practices
We’ve streamlined our shipping process to be cleaner and greener. By using banded shipments whenever we can, we cut down on the need for extra boxes and packing materials. This means less waste, less hassle, and a more sustainable way to ship.
Recyclable Waste Sorting
We’ve got dedicated people and processes in place to make sure recyclable waste doesn’t end up in the landfill. That means breaking down used parts into materials like plastic and metal, so they can be properly recycled instead of tossed out. Every little bit helps, and we make sure it’s done right.

One easy way customers can get involved is through our Print Cartridge Recycling Program. It’s free, simple, and designed to make a real difference. We accept used cartridges, image units, and fuser units from all authorized manufacturers. No need to sort or separate by brand, just place the used items in their original boxes, and put them into the Systel recycling box. We’ll handle the rest.
